Is There a Free Sight Offering Treatment From Narcotic Pill Dependency?

Question by oweiss1932: Is there a free sight offering treatment from narcotic pill dependency?

Answer by •••Mott•••
There are many sites. From experience, the better method is perhaps a detox at first. Once the substance is removed from the body, the physical/chemical dependency is put into remission. Then, the hard part comes; the psychological dependency. The best way, i believe is to interact or at least listen to others that are overcoming the addiction/dependency. There are many NA (Narcotics Anonymous) meetings, everywhere, or at least within a few miles of where you or the “pill head” is located.

Can Someone Really Change After a Life of Drugs and Compulsiveness?

Question by mrvain22: Can someone really change after a life of drugs and compulsiveness?
I didn’t know where else to post this so here it goes…I have a friend who is about to leave a christian run treatment center . The past 10 years of her life have run on compulsive behavior and drugs. She now tells me after 3 months that shes clean, free of her manipulative ways, has found god(reads the bible all the time), is ready to commit to a real relationship with trust and faith fullness and so on. I am afraid she might fall through the cracks again but my question is..can a christian way of life and influence really change someone that drastically?? in that short of time?? How often do these people relapse??

Having Trouble With Alcoholics Anonymous and God?

Question by Ian: Having trouble with Alcoholics Anonymous and God?
Hi. My name is Ian and I’m an alcoholic and drug addict. I’m in an intensive outpatient program at a rehab center. A requirement for the program is that I attend 8 AA/NA meetings. I went to my first one last night. It was in a church basement and there was lots of talk about God and staying sober through his graces. I’ve heard this same kind of talk at group. I’m an strong agonist atheist and think that it is dangerous to build a foundation of sobriety on fantasy. I’m basing my recovery not what makes me feel good but on what is true.

Question by Mary Williams: What is the best drug rehab for young adults?
I am trying to find the best treatment center in Arizona for my little brother. He is 21 and using heroin. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are many great treatment centers for drug and alcohol addiction. Depending on your brother’s circumstances he may need long term treatment. Addiction is a disease of the mind as well as the body. I would suggest that you explore a treatment facility that incorporates 12 step focused recovery as well as life skills and schooling. If you are looking for something specifically in Arizona I would suggest you explore Back2Basics in Flagstaff, AZ.
