Drug Addiction Within My Family, Advice?
Question by iliketoeat: Drug addiction within my family, advice?
My little sister is 18, and has had an opioid dependence for the past two and a half to three years. She started hanging around the “wrong crowd” and began dating a guy whose entire family had the same problem including him. She cant hold a simple part time job, and she was involved in a suspicious car accident where she fractured her leg. My parents have recently made her face a decision, get help or get out. She chose to get help and she is now taking suboxone. But even that has a high risk of dependency.

I am not sure what your asking but I think your asking what shows up on a drug test and in that case any drugs do. There are different classes there are opiates, which all pain pills like oxy’s, vocodin morphine percocet…thinkgs like methadone and heroin will all test positive for opiates. There is cocaine which coke and crack will test positive for that. There is excstacy, and marijuana, and methamphetamines. Some will test for benzodiazapines which are valuim or xanax or klonopin. There are some professional ones that tst for ketamine, pcp, acid. They can honestly test for everything.
Cocaine Addiction?
Question by Jessica: cocaine addiction?
I am starting to put two and two together. My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years. He has used cocaine recreationally for several years before we met but it was only once every three or four months. We moved a year ago and about 6 months ago he was able to get cocaine much easier and has now started using it every weekend. Ever since that time his attitude has changed and his anger has gotten out of hand as you can probably tell by my previous posts. The therapist has told me that she believes that he has Intermittent Explosive Disorder, after reading more about this disorder it has mentioned that cocaine can cause these angry outbursts. I moved out of our house a week ago and have been staying with my sister since due to his anger. I love him and don’t want to give up on him if he has a problem and I know I can’t help him but I feel like I should do more to support him, what do I do?
