Overcoming Gambling Addiction

Overcoming Gambling Addiction – This straight-talking, empowering video offers essential information on how problem gambling develops, its damaging impact on individuals and families, and how it can successfully be treated. Through candid first-hand accounts from four recovering gamblers, along with illuminating commentary from mental health experts, the program shows gamblers, their families, and therapists: how an alluring diversion becomes a shameful secret as problem gambling takes hold; common myths and misperceptions about gambling–and why ‘winning big’ is so unlikely; the benefits of individual and group therapy and self-help approaches; and ways to overcome setbacks in recovery and make meaningful, lasting changes.

I hated that feeling the next day after payday. I would always tell myself that I was not going to the? casino and the first thing I would do when I woke up was withdraw my money from my account and gamble all of it. Then I would feel like shit the next day. I was at that same treatment facility back in July of 08. Was Katie still a counselor there?

What really helps you to quit is to know HOW the casino’s can take your money so quickly when you play? the slots. Try researching “Server Based Gaming”.

Its clear the way u refer to? proffesional gamblers as ‘shrewdies’,(shrewdy when not plural idiot),that u have? probably lost alot and now have a hatred spured by jealousy of winners.

Actually guys in the suits are usually very rich losers. +EV gamblers normaly look like their off to the beach, we have no boss so why would we be suited up on a blackberry?

If u play no skill games against the casino u deserve to lose, u want easy money for nothing.. im glad these lazy ppl dont get rich..

I have been to inpatient gambling treatment twice, once when i was 20 years old in 2007 and again back in 2010. There is an awesome inpatient treatment center located in Granite Falls, Minnesota called Project Turnabout (i believe they have a website look it up on google) I would reccomend that place to anyone who needs the help its a 30 day program? is follows the 12 steps of gambling recovery 🙂 Best wishes to all my fellow compulsive gamblers and get well soon!!!!!
