Do You Believe We Should Decriminalize All Drug Use the Way Portugal Does?

Question by No Chance Without Thor: Do you believe we should decriminalize all drug use the way Portugal does?
Portugal decriminalized all drug use and they have now effectively cut all drug addiction in half and no longer sends drug users to prison. Instead, drug abuse is treated like the health problem that it actually is.

I wish America would do this, but we have too many cartel lobbyists to make sure we don’t do something that makes sense.

Sure.

But you realize we can’t do that in the US because we have to protect everyone from themselves.

Signs of Prescription Drug Abuse?

Question by prncessang228: signs of prescription drug abuse?
I have a 7 year old daughter that I was sharing joint custody of with my ex-husband up until 12-3
of this year.

on that date, my daughter came home stating her father had physically hit her on the back of the head (where she had 3 staples in to close up a cut she received after being pushed by a cousin at her uncle’s house on her dad’s side of the family) b/c he got angry at her for not sticking with a lie he had made up about her being sick so that I would come pick her up from his house instead of him having to take her to school. I currently have temporary full custody of my daughter due to an order of protection being passed. I also called CPS and filed a report.

Did I Misread This Morning or Is Part of Obama’s New War on Drugs Is Having Doctors Test Us for Drug Use?

Youre right Tony, there was not the exact verbiage of “mandatory drug tests” However, there was verbiage of *having doctors screen for drug use* Is this a much different thing? Nice try quickly deflecting this verbiage that if from the Bush admin would make the progressives heavily question it.

Long Term Residential Drug Abuse Programs?

Question by dldouc: long term residential drug abuse programs?
Does anyone know of a long term residential drug abuse program in MA. Affordable or that will take mass health. My 43 year old brother in law is finally ready to make a long term commitment but we can’t find any place he can afford to go to.

Answer by Vegas Dude
Narconon is supposed to be good. It’s expensive but you get more than with other drug treatment programs — the program lasts 3 months while others last just 1 month and if they relapse they can go back for free.
